Ecolabels and statistic
21 % of all hotels in Denmark are certified with an eco-label and the amount of certified hotels has increased nearly 100 % in the last 18 months. In the Copenhagen area 41 % of the hotels are certified with an eco-label. Of the 21 % certified hotels in Denmark, 70 % is awarded Green Key, 25 % with the Nordic Swan and 5 % with the EU Flower.

Green Key

The Swan
The Nordic eco-label introduced by the Nordic Council of Ministers in 1989. The Swan is used in all the Nordic countries: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. Read more at
