First Camp Råbjerg Mile – Skagen

We always recommend pre-ordering, but it is not a requirement.
We welcome drop-in guests, but can not guarantee available capacity.

Råbjerg Mile is a fantastic site for families, with room for everyone. The camp site is at the very cap of North Jutland, in the midst of Denmark’s magnificent natural landscapes within Skagen Odde – the Scaw Spit – and close to the huge sand dune known as Råbjerg Mile. The distance between the North Sea (Vesterhavet) at Kandestederne and the calm seas of the Kattegat at Hulsig is only 6 km: there are many beach walks to enjoy.

The camp site is surrounded by countryside, inviting excursions galore as well as the chance to experience nature whilst walking, running, or cycling. The camp site is 12 km south of Skagen town, a delightful spot with a fishing harbour and a wealth of tradespeople. Skagen has plenty of cultural options, too. Skagen Museum, Anna and Michael Ancher´s House, the Buried Church, Grenen (a long sandbar spit) or a stroll round the harbour. The town can be easily reached by bicycle and has wonderful cycle paths across Hulsig heath and back to Skagen. The camp site is also a great centre for cycling in the area, with outings for example to Bunken Dune Plantation, the town of Ålbæk, ‘Farm Fun’, the beach of Kandestederne, the eagle reserve Ørnereservat, Tversted and Tversted lakes.
