Danhostel Skanderborg welcome all to our hostel located in the middle of a fabulous beech forest. We have a large garden and a beach with a jetty at Skanderborg Lake. Spend time on the shores of Skanderborg Lake in the Lakelands, one of the most beautiful places to rejuvenate the mind and body. Experience the peaceful surroundings of the Lakelands, yet stay close to the town and its many attractions.
We provide 16 rooms with private bathrooms and 10 self-contained red log cabins. In the middle of the property is our main building - a black log cabin, which was the german officers' mess in World War II.
Skanderborg forms a gateway to the Mid-Jutland Lakelands, one of the most beautiful areas in Denmark. The city is the oldest town in the Lakelands and has a long and interesting history, including that of being a town of the Danish kings. If you walk through the woods, from the hostel, you are just a few km away from the german ww2 bunker and Castle Chapel and the town of Skanderborg.
