A charming little hotel in the northern part of Jutland in the atmospheric town of Hirtshals, Skaga Hotel offers a good night’s sleep in a four-star hotel. With its own restaurant and indoor swimming pool you don’t need to go out and explore the area, but you’d be amiss if you didn’t.
Right across the street is Nordsøen Oceanarium, a great exhibit of the marine life in the North Sea with the big sunfish as the main attraction. Close by is the town of Hjørring with nice shops and a great atmosphere.
If you love nature you must go to the tip of Jutland to see Grenen – the tip of Jutland. Two oceans meet and collide here making for a special sight and the possibility to have your feet in two oceans at the same time.
Northern Jutland is a fascinating area with many places to go and see. The western coast of Jutland is a special place for many Danes with wild waters and wide beaches, but you can find most of your heart’s desires.
Cityfolk will love Aalborg with its concerts, legendary nightlife and many shops, but those who love the open air will find plenty of fascinating nature in Nationalpark Thy and Limfjorden as well as Vesterhavet. Hirtshals is close to Skagen and the very tip of Jutland, where the North Sea meets Kattegat.
