Denmark tops UNs Sustainable Development Goals ranking in 2018

Tourists focused on sustainability make a good choice by visiting Denmark as the country scored number two in the world in a new UN ranking of sustainable efforts.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) was initiated by the UN as a set of common goals in terms of sustainability, health and security for all member countries to achieve by 2030. According to the 2018 SDG Index and Dashboards report, which measures the results of all countries so far, Denmark and the Nordic countries are top-ranked based on their efforts with Sweden as number one, closely followed by Denmark and Finland in third place. Here the Nordics, with their common values, once again show that they are true frontrunners when it comes to sustainable development.

Although all countries still have a long way to go when it comes to the set goals, Denmark is well on its way. With a clean and efficient energy production, responsible businesses and a safe environment Denmark also proves to be an excellent alternative when it comes to sustainable travel.
