Subjects like gender equality, digitalization, sustainable development and the UN's sustainable development goals are already an integrated part of the presidency projects.

 The Icelandic Presidency also emphasizes the bond between the Nordic countries, which can be noticed in the mobility between the countries as well as the strong Nordic cooperation. This cooperation is also communicated to the rest of the world where the Nordic countries stand together as one. The Nordics also act together in an international cooperation for peace, security and environmental protection.

This cooperation has shown the positive effects of building bridges rather than walls. There is nothing old-fashioned about cooperation, friendship or respect. The basic values of the Nordic region are as important as before.
