Vogue deems sustainability at Coco Hotel a stylish standout

Both Coco Hotel, Copenhagen and Green Key is highlighted for their sustainable effort in the international magazine Vogue with the headline “Could This Chic Copenhagen Hotel Be a Model for Sustainable Hospitality?”

When a small hotel in Copenhagen makes it to the glamourous pages of Vogue, it is a small victory for the entire hospitality sector of Copenhagen. When their sustainability efforts are deemed a “stylish standout” by this global trendsetter it becomes a “giant leap for mankind”.

This article is not only a praise of the enormous sustainable efforts that Coco Hotel makes, it is the "adieu" to the myths about sustainability in hospitality is un-cool, unrealistic and compromises the hotel experience. It is a testament to the fact that in hospitality – Green is the new Black.

This eco-focus has also brought unintended benefits to Coco Hotel such as a more intimate hospitality experience, where automation has been replaced with human interaction.

It is hotels, such as Coco, with their sustainable efforts that set the standard for sustainable hospitality and helps us towards the adventurer’s equilibrium: “exploring the world without endangering its future”. Every little step in that direction is important as travelling can be costly on the environmental bill as well as an activity, that is not likely to stop once the boarders open again.

Green Key, the world leading eco label within hospitality is also mentioned in the article. Labels such as Green Key are tools that enables companies such as Coco Hotel to systematize their sustainable efforts, validate them and communicate it to the world.
